1933 Napa Valley Collector Soil Map

Originals Collector Soil Maps of the Napa Area in 1933

The 1933 large color soil maps were printed by the US Department of Ag, Bureau of Chemistry and Soils and the University of California Agricultural Experiment Station and are approximately 33” x 41”. This is the first detailed USDA soil map created for Napa County and the colors from the map, printed in the early part of the 20th century, seem move vivid than those on modern maps.

An unidentified donor, also a member of Napa County Farm Bureau, kept these maps in excellent condition.

Price is $29.90 inclusive of tax and shipping.

Proceeds will benefit NCFB's dynamic programs.
