Napa County Agriculture In The Classroom
The national
Ag in the Classroom (AITC) program was reintroduced to Napa County
in 2001. AITC was developed on a national level to impart
students with adequate knowledge to function effectively as
agriculturally literate citizens supportive of wise agricultural
policies and programs. AITC works with K- 12 teachers, students,
and community leaders, to enhance education using agricultural
examples. The program offers school children the knowledge to make
informed choices. Some students will choose agriculture as their
life's work. All students, as future voters, will make decisions
about agriculture. |
